Shaw and Hans, our two star undergraduates, gave their last lab meeting this week. Their contributions to the lab have been tremendous. Hans is off to find a research lab at University of Washington before applying to medical schools and maybe MD-PhD programs. Shaw will spend a semester at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology. Shaw has submitted his applications to biophysics graduate programs and hopefully will be hearing good news in the Spring.
We also said good-bye to Juli Rosa. Juli was in the lab less than two years, but has led two major research efforts . She is moving back to Spain where she is entering the next phase of her research career -- though her exact path is not yet determined. The lab will not be the same without her. Adios Juli!
Irene is part of the Helen Wills Neuroscience Program.
